FDRIA is a voluntary membership organisation that promotes and supports Family Dispute Resolution (“FDR”) throughout the Atlantic provinces: in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland & Labrador.
One of FDRIA’s central mandates is to help its members become more skilled and experienced in FDR so that the availability of FDR will expand in Atlantic Canada. Members include lawyers, mediators, social workers, counsellors, and others.
FDRIA’s members are interested in, and supportive of, the practice of FDR. They are, for the most part, professionals who work directly in FDR or in allied fields. Some members have a recognized qualification in FDR and other members will be working towards qualification. Still other members will advocate for the expansion of FDR.
Currently we are offering a general membership. In the coming months, we will be announcing our first two levels of certified membership in mediation.
Any family law practitioner, allied professional or interested party can join as a General Member at any time. To Join, complete the membership form and pay the Membership Fee.
